We witness the seasons change.
Flowers.
Heat.
The last leaves to fall.
The first flakes to gather.
We adjust our clothes, our activities, our celebrations, and our efforts.
We talk about it nearly every day and sometimes hourly.
“The ground is wet. The air is thick. Darkness comes early. It’s cold.”
On and on it goes and we go with it.
Tending to the tasks, the demands, the asks, the surprises.
Winning some, losing many, trying again.
We wonder how the years pass so quickly.
How the kids got so big.
How the house became so quiet.
What do we do now?
WE GO.
We look around and give gratitude for the life we have been afforded, for the ups and downs, for those we have loved and have loved us and
WE GO.
We seize the opportunity to press on, to have new aims, to be alive.
WE GO.
We wake up with excitement at the possibility of a new day, a new series of choices, challenges and sometimes setbacks.
WE EXPECT the setbacks; we acknowledge them and
WE GO.
WE GO because we can. We own our choices, we enjoy, we explore, we adjust, and
WE GO until we can go no more.
Every day of every season of every year of the rest of your life…
GO.
